GJHP Musical: FOOTLOOSE

The GJHP Musical returns with the hit musical FOOTLOOSE, directed and choreographed by Samara Harand. This no-cut program is open to all Glencoe 6th-8th graders! Please see below for more details and to register!

IMPORTANT DATES & ATTENDANCE INFORMATION:

• Audition Workshop:  Saturday, January 15, 3:30pm-5:45pm (not mandatory, but highly encouraged!)
• Auditions:  Tuesday, January 18 or Wednesday, January 19, 3:30pm-4:45pm OR 4:30pm-5:45pm
• Callbacks:  Thursday, January 20, 3:30pm-6:30pm
• The Cast List will be posted online Sunday, January 23 by 3pm
• First Rehearsal:  Wednesday, January 26, 3:30pm-5:45pm (Parent Meeting at 7pm)
• Rehearsals:  Mondays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 3:30pm-5:45pm (extending to 6pm or 6:30pm in April)
• Extra Weekend Rehearsals: Saturdays April 9 & 23 & Sunday, April 24 (Times TBD, Hold 10am-5pm)
• Dress/Tech Rehearsals: April 25-27, 3:30pm-8pm (likely earlier!)
• Performances:  April 28 – May 1, 2022 (Thurs @ 7pm, Fri @ 7pm, Sat @ 3pm, Sun @ 1pm - Call Time will be 2 hours before listed curtain time!)
• Note about Attendance & Absences: A full schedule covering the duration of the program will be distributed at the first rehearsal on January 24. Cast members may not be called every day or for the entire time! We will do our best to work around one approved, standing conflict per week (that must be noted on the Conflict Sheet you will turn in at auditions). This is more difficult to accommodate for lead roles and may be taken under consideration during casting. Due to our tight rehearsal schedule, we cannot cast students who have more than once-a-week conflicts. Attendance is mandatory at all scheduled tech & dress rehearsals and all performances. Absences beyond what is noted on the Conflict Sheet will be considered unexcused. Three unexcused absences may result in the loss or reduction of a role.
• Academic & School Attendance Policy: Per Central School policy, to be eligible to participate in Footloose (attend auditions, rehearsals, performances, or other program-related activities) students need to be passing all of their classes with a C or better, attend a complete day of school (8:20am-3:24pm) and participate in all classes. Special cases are subject to individual review. (Example: An exception may be made for partial school attendance due to an appointment previously approved by the school.)

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

• Participants must be fully registered to receive audition materials and choose a timeslot. 
• If you drop from the program before January 25, you will receive a full refund but incur a $25 fee.
• If you drop from the program after January 25, your refund will be prorated and you will incur the $25 fee.
• This program will be presented under COVID protocols set by District 35.
• Vaccination against COVID-19 is not required but strongly suggested.
• ALL Particpants must agree to weekly COVID testing through the school or a medical professional.
