Bernie’s Book Bank: Tuesday, March 20th
GJHP is partnering with Service Club for an after-school civic engagement opportunity. This volunteer opportunity is offered to all 5th-8th graders.
Please have your child meet in the OASIS directly after school on Tuesday, March 20th. We will have a light snack and check everyone in before loading the bus.
The following Adults will be chaperoning the trip to Bernie's:
Audra Donnelly, GJHP Executive Director
Melissa Di Giacomo, GJHP Program Director
Heather Olson, Central School Social Worker/Service Club Coordinator
Dana Creer, Central School Spanish Teacher/Service Club Coordinator
We will be leaving Central School at 3:45pm and volunteering from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. Students will be dropped off at Central around 6pm. *Please plan to pick your child up from Central around 6pm.
We are holding a book drive the two weeks prior to our visit so please remember to donate some new or gently used books before we go!
*All students must have a signed permission slip to ride on the bus, and Bernie's waiver to volunteer at their facility. These can be signed electronically via this registration.
