Promoting the Up & Coming Future Construction Workforce
Come support NAWIC OC and its efforts to help the workforce shortage by introducing the next workforce generation to career options in construction. Items will be auctioned to raise funds for camp and scholarships.
NAWIC scholarships are given to high school students pursing a career in the construction industry. Construction is the only industry that encompasses almost every professional discipline. Literally every career sector is available to students: trades, project management, administrative, legal, financial, insurance, business owner... the list is virtually endless. NAWIC is here to help those students who want, who believe, and want to succeed in the construction industry.
Camp NAWIC is a FREE weeklong summper camp for high school girls, Camp is designed to introduce vocational classes, post-secondary training, and career options within the consturction industry. This year we are excited to work with the Thomas House Family Shelter, as they will be hosting camp. Campers will be remodeling an apartment unit within the 8 unit complex.
NAWIC Scholarships are given to high school students pursuing a career in the construction industry.
