Women Improving Construction and the Industry 

Please join us for Women Improving Construction and the Industry on Tuesday, February 27 from 5:30-8:00pm at the Embassy Suites Anaheim-North.

Our presenters will be Orleda Acevedo, Director of Volunteer Services, and Stephanie Mendoza, Volunteer Coordinator, both from Girls, Inc. Orange County.

Our presenters will share success stories of girls involved with Girls, Inc. and give us insight in how our organizations can join together to work toward the common goal of the empowerment of young women.

The mission of Girls, Inc. is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart and bold. In partnership with schools and at Girls, Inc. centers, the organization focuses on the decelopment of the whole girl. Girls, Inc. creates an environment for girls to learn to value themselves, take risks, and discover and develop their inherent strengths. The combination of long-lasting mentoring relationships, a pro-girl environment, and research-based programming equips girls to navigate gender, economic and social barriers, and grow up healthy, educated and independent. Informed by girls and their families, Girls, Inc. also advocates for legislation and policies to increase opportunities and rights for all girls.
