After a recent Cape Cod Workshop, Diane and I headed over to Newport to scout out locations and logistics for this trip. We wanted to check driving distances, sight-lines and specific locations for the best photos available - and we found some great photo spots! In addition, we made a connection with one of the boats doing tours around Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay and will be taking a boat trip that gives us water views of some beautiful lighthouses!

We will also visit some beaches - including the wonderful rocky coast of Beavertail State Park - and the famous Cliff Walk which has panoramic ocean views on one side, and Gilded Age Mansions like The Breakers, Rosecliff, Beachwood and Marble House on the other side. As a break from the beaches and lighthouses we can see how the Vanderbilts and the Astors lived!

Spouses and Partners are welcome to join us at no extra charge, except for the costs of our Newport Harbour boat tickets ($45, includes gratuity). Join us for four days of photography inspiration and instruction, great food and a beautiful location!

We'll finish up by Thursday lunchtime after starting the day exploring more of the region, and finishing up with more great photos.  

This trip is great for both photographers and non-shooters - everyone will enjoy the scenery, touring, shopping and wonderful food that Newport has to offer! 

Tuition is just $595 with four days of touring including photo and compositional instruction. Spouses/partners are welcome to tour with us at no extra charge!
