Death Valley Fall Photo Workshop 2022
Death Valley may conjure images of desert and bleak surroundings, but it is in reality a beautiful place with an amazing palette of shape, color and light. We chose early November because the crowds are infrequent, the weather is great (daytime high in the upper 70's and lows around 50) and traveling around the park is easy. Once we all arrive in the park, we will carpool around to all of the shooting sites. If you fly, Las Vegas is the closest airport (a bit over two hours to Furnace Creek) and that is where we will be flying into.
From the lowest elevation in the US at Badwater Basin (282 ft. below sea level) to the stunning view from Dante's Peak (5,475 feet) we will see this collection of formations and colors from every angle imaginable!
If you have never been here, you might be surprised that the low sections of the park are surrounded by some big mountains. The tallest is Telescope Peak at an elevation of 11,043 feet. Believe it or not, there's even a waterfall in Death Valley named Darwin's Falls, and it flows all year round.
