The second term of President Jokowi is expected to focus on attracting more direct foreign investment in fields such as manufacturing, education, health, and infrastructure through new tax incentives and the opening of new sectors to foreign investors.
In September 2019 the Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, proposed a new tax law which would reduce the corporate tax rate to 22% from 25%, dividend tax relief for reinvestment, taxation of individuals on a territorial rather than a global basis, and the concept of a permanent establishment without a physical presence.
Come learn about these policies from our experts from the Indonesian Investment Promotion Center (BKPM) and Ernst & Young.
