Join WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter and Mecklenburg County Senior Project Manager, Jay Higginbotham, for a bicycle tour of the urban section of Little Sugar Creek Greenway, on Thursday, May 2, 2013.

Following the tour there will be a social hour event sponsored by WTS at Hickory Tavern located at the Metropolitan. While space is limited on the tour, all are welcome at the social.

Bicycle Parking is located within the Metropolitan garage near Best Buy.  If you can’t bring your own bike, consider using one from Charlotte BCycle.  Nearby Charlotte BCycle stations include: the Metropolitan,(722 Charlottetowne Ave.), Elizabeth Ave/Presbyterian Hospital (1532 Elizabeth Ave), and Kings Dr./CPCC (1140 Elizabeth Ave).  Using a Bcycle bike requires a 24-hour pass or Annual membership.  24-hour passes can be purchased at the B-station with a credit card (expect approximately $16 total for the pass and hourly charges).  North Carolina and Charlotte helmet laws only require helmet use for those 16 years old or less, however, WTS recommends that you wear a helmet at all times when operating a bicycle on public right-of-ways.  Charlotte Bcycle does not provide helmets.
