2016 TWEENS & TEENS SUMMER ART CAMP
Teens & Tweens Camps are for those children that are eager to express themselves artistically while having an incredible amount of fun in the process. Whether your child is a beginner, an up-and-coming artist, or preparing a future portfolio, our warm and nurturing professional teaching artists will work one-on-one with each student in order to foster artistic growth while creating artwork of which they’ll be proud.
Each of the 7 weeks of Tweens & Teens Camp will run Tuesday thru Thursday, from 1PM – 4 PM.
WEEK 1: June 21-June 23 - Awesome Acrylics
Come experience creating a painting in acrylic on canvas. In this open style studio, come paint your favorite person, or place. Students need to bring reference photos of a person or landscape and an open mind to explore something new.
WEEK 2: June 28-June 30 - Reduce, ReUse, Revitalize
There is a saying " One man's trash is another man's treasure." This week we will explore this saying by creating 3-dimensional art from pre existing objects.
WEEK 3: July 5-July 7 - Phenomenal Phone Photography (BRING YOUR OWN TECHNOLOGY)
Do you like to take selfies? Do you document your life on your phone? Come this week and learn how to take better pictures on your phone or tablet. Then learn about free apps for editing and enhancing the photos. At the no of the week, we will print and mount our favorite photo at the end of the week.
WEEK 4: July 12-July 14 - 3 Dimensional Paper Planes
Did you know that paper has a variety of uses beyond reading and writing? This week we will create a sculptural letter that can be hung in the shadow box we will create. If you like to build things, this week is for you.
WEEK 5: July 19-July 21 - Fabulous Fashion
Ever thought about designing your own clothing or accessories? Come learn about drawing fashion, and create something from non traditional material. Only hand stitching will be done so no experience required.
WEEK 6: July 26-July 28 - Creative Comics (BRING YOUR OWN TECHNOLOGY - iPads Preferred)
Do you love your technology? Do you struggle for fun project ideas? come learn how to draw a cartoon, then use your phone or iPad and free apps to create a comic book page.
WEEK 7: Aug 2-Aug 4 - Bountiful Books
This week we will explore a variety of book binding techniques using readily available supplies. Come design create a sketch book for your own personal visual journal.

3 days, Tuesday thru Thursday, 1 PM – 4 PM - $120 - NO SINGLE DAY REGISTRATIONS
