Spring Class: DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY CLASS with Marianne Leone (4 weeks) 

In this 4 part course, you will learn about the basics of a digital SLR camera (from a Canon, but others have similar functions) and how to “get the shot” while on an adventure- a day trip to the Zoo, a walk in a park, on vacation; indoor and outdoor examples.  Also learn how to share your photos digitally- through social media- Facebook and blogging as well as Picasa – software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. You will also learn tricks on organizing them. Then finally you will learn how to share your photos through printing- enlargements, canvas, photobook tips. Too many digital photographers never produce their prints- this will become easy.

This course is taught by local nature photographer, Marianne Leone. Marianne has been shooting outdoor photography for a decade and focuses her 2 collections on the species in danger of the Philadelphia Zoo, where her work has been seen in the zoo’s membership marketing campaign, in books, and on their signage and website. Her other collection is of national parks and beautiful spaces in America. All students who ATTEND all 4 classes will be given a bonus – a field trip to the Philadelphia Zoo for an exclusive 2hr tour with the photographer to learn the secrets of photographing thru glass and fence and special places of the zoo. Date to be set for summer  2013. Zoo admission is not included.
