Under the Influence of Cannabis:
Understanding the Highway High
Please join us for this class which will discuss all aspects of a case involving a driver who is impaired by marijuana. It will begin by discussing trends and issues related to marijuana use, discuss the metabolism and physiology of cannabis, review the indicators of impairment by cannabis that officers should be looking for, and discuss how to effectively document the observations of impairment and testify about them in court.
It will be held on July 15, 2019, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at Midwest Public Risk, 19400 E. Valley View Parkway in Independence.
The class will be worth 7 hours of CLE and will be submitted for 7 hours of POST credit. Lunch will also be provided for all attendees.
