The Missouri Office of Prosecution Services will be hosting its annual Trial Advocacy School at the University of Missouri--Kansas City School of Law from July 24-27, 2017. This course is taught by experienced prosecutors and focuses on the nuts and bolts of handling criminal cases. Students will hear lectures on all aspects of a criminal trial including voir dire, opening statement, direct and cross examination and closing argument. Students will also have the opportunity to practice their trial skills in small group settings where they will get advice and feedback from some of the most talented and experienced prosecutors in the state.
This class is great for newer prosecutors who may have limited trial experience or for older prosecutors who would like a refresher or to learn some new techniques. Attendees will meet prosecutors from all across the state and develop a valuable network of contacts.
