Guarding America’s Roadways:
Investigating and Prosecuting the Impaired Driving Crash

 This free training opportunity for Missouri prosecutors and law enforcement officers will feature a discussion of the special issues that arise when investigating and prosecuting an impaired driving crash.  Specific topics to be discussed will include, among other things: 

• Standardized field sobriety tests and other observations of impairment
• Preserving the crash-crime scene
• Basic principles of crash reconstruction
• The role of the prosecutor at the crash scene
• Effective courtroom testimony and presentation 

The faculty for this training will include nationally recognized experts in the investigation and prosecution of impaired driving cases and crash reconstruction.  The featured speakers will be: 

• Clay Abbott, Texas DWI Resource Prosecutor
• Joanne Thomka, Director of the National Traffic Law Center
• Joe McCormack, Bureau Chief for the Bronx (NY) District Attorney’s Office
• John Kwasnoski, Professor Emeritus of Physics at Western New England College 

This training will be held on Thursday, November 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and will be broadcast live from St. Louis via the Busch Satellite Network to Anheuser-Busch distributors in 14 states, including the following locations in Missouri.  When you register, please indicate which of the locations you will attend.
