Invitation to:   Iowa Leadership Seminar 2016

Who:               Black Belts and colored belts (green belt and above) and who are at least 14 years of age

Cost:                $65 per person                    

                         ($5 discounts for members of:   - Voorhees Taekwondo-affiliated clubs

                                                                                   - 2016 Members of the State of Iowa Black Belt Assoc.

                                                                                   - 2016 Members of the Iowa Taekwondo Alliance)

 

Deadline:         All applications must be done online no later than Friday, June 3, 3016.

 ***Late applications, paper applications, and at-the-door applications can not be accepted. ***

Capacity:      This seminar is limited to the first 75 people who register.

1)      Instructor Seminar sessions will include:

a)      Teaching styles for children and adult learners.

b)      How to build “lesson plans” and focused instructional models

c)      How to teach and practice forms including philosophy and application, plus the new KKW/WTF standardizations

d)      One-Step Sparring, Three-Step Sparring and Advanced Self-Defense

e)       Pressure Points and In-fighting

f)        Intro to Escrima

g)      Intro to Ki Energy

h)      Foundations of Mastery Learning

i)       Learning Styles and Behavioral/Leadership Styles inventories, how to recognize and instruct them.

2)      Cost

a)      $65 per person. This includes:

i)       All classes

ii)      Lunch

iii)    All seminar materials

Please note: 

1. Special dietary needs are the participant’s responsibility. We will send an email to all registered participants approximately 1 week before the Seminar, describing how lunch will be provided. If there are special dietary needs or concerns, they need to be addressed at that time.

There will be plenty of opportunities for sharing and exchanging ideas as well as fun and fellowship. Participants should plan on spending a full day (8:30 AM - 6:00 PM) exploring and expanding their leadership and instructing abilities.
