Kiwanis Club of Richland and The Arc of Tri Cities are excited to announce the 4th Annual Challenge! This one day event will be held on Lee Boulevard hill between Richland High and Carmichael Schools, Saturday morning, July 11th 2015 .This event pairs challenged individuals with young, able bodied drivers (usually under 12) to make three runs down the hill in a special Race Car. The Race Cars contain two seats, one for a driver and a second for a passive steering wheel driver. This free event is not a con-test, but an opportunity for community interaction with individuals with intellectual /developmental dis-abilities.
The use of the Race Cars and equipment is donated by Leo Finnegan, Life Enrichments Options, Is-saquah, WA.
Success of this event is measured in SMILES of children and parents, grandparents. Public is invited to come and cheer on the drivers.
