Introducing the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual - 2 (PDM-2)
In 2006, the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual (PDM) offered an unabashedly psychoanalytic diagnostic system that incorporated implicit motives, conflicts, defenses, wishes, fantasies, and other dynamic processes through drawing upon a wealth of empirical research examining psychoanalytic concepts and constructs. In 2017, the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual - 2 (PDM-2) was published. Throughout this workshop, participants will learn about the PDM-2's changes. They will also learn about the PDM-2's usefulness for case presentation, to chart progress and to supervise and teach, and for research.
