Are you interested in learning about a model of service with your neighbors? Do you currently have a food pantry ministry and would like to learn more food pantry models? Join us in learning how to serve missionally within our food pantry ministries. Metro Ministries will host this event on May 5, from 9-11 a.m. at the Central District Center. We will learn from Lydia Davis and her ministries at Barnes United Methodist Church, "You Feed Them Missional Food Pantry". Jean Ellis, a long-time volunteer at Brightwood Community Center with their food pantry and SPARK after-school meal program, visited with Lydia recently at their Learn and Luncheon event to learn more. Jean shared with Lisa Morris, "It was a real eye opener. There were connections with input from different groups which allowed you to know of services being provided all over the city."
