Our 2016-2017 workshop series kicked off with Harvard Law Professor Michael Gregory presenting on Trauma - Sensitive Schools and how to support Special Education Teams.

Advocates will be featured on a weekly, rotating schedule throughout the membership year. Professional Directory Listing Requirements
A fundamental goal of the Board of Directors for SPaN has been to develop and promote standards for practicing advocates and promote the recognition of advocacy as a profession. SPaN recognizes and supports ongoing learning as essential for advocates to stay current in field of advocacy. Therefore, to have a professional listing on the SPaN Website each listing member must meet the required 12+ hour ongoing training standard. Continuing education hours can be achieved through the SPaN workshops, Federation trainings, any conferences, presentations, classes that you attend related to the field of special education and advocacy.
