The Relationship Workshop helps you put the relationships of your life (even the tough ones) in the best conditions possible to promote growth - the rest is up to God. CONFESSIONS FROM MY SECOND GRADE LIFE
I didn't want to, but I knew I had to: I had to stop trying to make Alexa like me. It was ruining my second grade life. She was the pretty girl that sat across from me in Mrs. Shear's class. I was so anxious and angry, at times. I could not sleep at night, focus on work in the day, nor could I be nice to other guys who showed her any attention. All because I wanted a relationship with her but couldn't make it happen. She would not reciprocate.

 Well, it has been many years since then, yet I am still, like many of you, learning how to live out more fully what Paul commanded grace-given believers in Romans 12:9, "Let love be genuine." Paul was admonishing us to let our love for others be motivated more by the vertical than the horizontal--more by what God did for you in Christ and by what He has given you to give to others, and less by what others can give you in return.

 If you, like me, find a need in your life to learn how to cultivate greater sincerity in the various relationships in your life--especially the tough ones, there is an upcoming workshop designed just for you. Dr. Ron Allchin, Greg Gifford and I will be opening up the Word of God to you on July 25 (or online anytime after), as we look deeply and practically at the topic of sincerity in relationships.
