Self-Sustaining Approach to Community Development

Old and deteriorating infrastructure coupled with rising energy costs, water shortages, and concerns about air quality and health, will require communities to upgrade their existing home and building stocks. Unless done using market-based approach, these upgrades will tax local economies that are already floundering. The good news is that there is a way to upgrade the infrastructure using a selfsustaining approach that will also generate local jobs, economic development, enhance property values and improve the health and comfort of the occupants.

Who should register, and why: If you are a citizen of Colorado Springs concerned about sustainability in energy, water and other natural resources, or if you are an entrepreneur with an idea to make your city better, or a professional looking for sustainable choices. Come learn about what others are doing in and around the City of Colorado Springs –
perhaps you are a government employee, or with Colorado Springs Utilities, or a homeowner, business owner, a real estate developer, a property manager, a land or property investor.
