Media Constructions of Energy Choices:

Empowering Students to See Through the Smoke

If you are a Science and Environmental educator who teaches at the middle school through college level, make sure you don't miss this FREE, highly interactive webinar exploring pedagogical techniques and curriculum materials designed to help you give students a deeper understanding of how to address issues of bias in media documents about energy choices.

Sox Sperry, Project Look Sharp’s primary curriculum writer, will offer a dynamic learning  experience where he will lead participants in rich media analysis activities with live chat  sessions that are aimed to deepen student critical thinking practices through investigations around authorship, purpose, credibility and economics. The activities and media used will be drawn from three of Project Look Sharp's free curriculum kits that are directly related to energy topics:

These kits are available free and online at  www.projectlooksharp.org.

This webinar is interactive with live chat, video demonstrations, polls, and a Q&A at the end with Sox Sperry and Cyndy Scheibe, Project Look Sharp's executive director and founder!  Be sure to attend live to join in on the conversation!
