Need experience in participating in a Charrette? The US Green Building Council - Redwood Empire Chapter all industry members to participate in a Mock Design Charrette on Tuesday, September 20th at 3:00 pm at Congregation Beth Shalom, 1455 Elm Street in Napa.
Congregation Beth Shalom moved from downtown Napa to its present location in 1955 when it was purchased from the Napa Chamber of Commerce. In 1962 the last renovation was completed and the building has not been changed since that date. The building is going to be totally renovated and must be brought up to current standards for efficiency, sustainability and design.
This mock Charrette will allow individuals to become part of a team that finds solutions, shares ideas and creates designs that may ultimately become part of the final plan.
No proposals have been released and no contracts have been awarded for this project. They have just received Napa Planning Commission approval to move forward with the project. All architectural designers, engineers, landscape designers, general contractors, tradesmen, LEED APs, interior designers are encouraged to participate in this event. A Scope of Work will be shared with the participants and a complete tour of the building and its environs will be conducted at this meeting.
