Coach Bus Trip to Chicago
Experience the only National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture.
The Queen-Anne Style historical landmark facility includes an enchanting courtyard
and remarkable galleries with multi-disciplinary art engaging all visitors.
Our tour will focus on Puerto Rican culture, the art presentations currently exhibited in the museum and the historical and architectural elements of the building itself. A salsa workshop will follow the tour and you may participate or watch instructions on this unique dance style. Enjoy an ethnic lunch at a nearby restaurant. Later we will take a 6-block walking tour of the Paseo Boricua. This neighborhood has been home to the Puerto Rican community since the 1950’s. The steel flags span 56 feet across Division Street to honor the thousands of immigrants who came here in 1946 – 66 to work at the Chicago steel mills.
This trip requires a LOT of walking and standing.
