Professional Development Workshop: Modes of Communication and the Art of Verbal Self Defense 

Join us on Tuesday, September 17 and Tuesday, September 24 for WTS-Sacramento's two-part Professional Development Workshop on Modes of Communication and the Art of Verbal Self Defense.

The transportation industry is emerging with new technologies and multiple stakeholders. Project management and project delivery are being re-invented, increasing the need for collaboration and cooperation. This two-part interactive workshop addresses the need to be effective in the complex web of interactions encountered in work-related situations. You'll come away with strong communication strategies and an understanding of conflict resolution, which are essential skills for successful transportation professionals.

The workshops will be led by Helen Horyza, the founder of Scully Career Associates.  A Nationally Certified Career Counselor (NCCC) with a M.S. in Career Counseling from CSUS, Helen has 20 years of experience delivering career development, training, and facilitation services. She offers workshops on team building, interpersonal communication, dealing with difficult people, and an array of career related topics, all resulting in a practical, direct road map to career satisfaction and success.
