WTS-Sacramento Reception to welcome EDCTC Executive Director Sharon Scherzinger

Please join WTS-Sacramento and the El Dorado County Transportation Commission (EDCTC) for a casual reception to welcome Sharon Scherzinger, the recently appointed EDCTC Executive Director.

As Executive Director for the El Dorado County Transportation Commission, Sharon Scherzinger is responsible for transportation planning, funding, and program management. Beginning as a land use planner for El Dorado County and the City of Ventura, she coordinated commercial and residential development projects. Her 23 years of planning experience includes heading both California Department of Transportation's Planning and Mass Transportation divisions. Ms. Scherzinger was also acting Deputy District Director for Planning and Local Assistance in Caltrans Districts 3 and 10. Prior to her work at Caltrans, she managed a two-billion dollar rail, transit, bicycle, and ferry bond program for the California Transportation Commission. Ms. Scherzinger has degrees in geography and architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a 22-year resident of El Dorado Hills, where she has raised two sons and lives with her husband.
