2016 Kid's Fun Run at the Butterfly 5K 

 

 

Kids Fun Run: The Kid's Fun Run starts at 8:45 am right next to Julia's Playground inside the WWI Park.  Ribbons will be awarded to the top 3 boy and girl runners in each age category: 3-4, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12. Kid's Fun Run registration is only available online and is limited to 200 participants. The registration fee is $5 per child and each child receives an official runners bib number and medal. Children's t-shirts are available online for $10.

Limited registrations and t-shirts may be available on Saturday, August 13th at the Butterfly 5K bib number pickup day and possibly on race day if available. Information on Kid's Fun Run registration availability will be posted at www.butterfly5k.com and on facebook at www.facebook.com/5kbutterflyrace .

This year's Kid's Fun Run is at 8:45 am BEFORE the 5K. In previous year's, the Kid's Fun Run has after the Butterfly 5K. We changed the time of the race to give everyone the opportunity to attend the trophy presentation to the 5K winners.

Parking is available at the lower parking lot at the WWI Memorial Park and at the North Attleboro Middle School parking lot. Bus transportation is available from 8 am to 1 pm from the middle school.

Live Butterfly Release: Don't miss this beautiful experience. All children must have a wrist band to receive their free butterfly to release at Julia's Garden. These wrist bands are available at the Children's Arts and Craft tent on race day at Julia's Garden. Look for the purple tent! Wristbands are available on a "first come, first serve" basis, so arrive early! The butterfly release is at 12 noon and we release them all together!

Join us after the Butterfly 5K at Julia's Garden for more festivities. Enjoy the Kid's Race at the playground. rock out to entertainment provided by Luke Renchan Entertainment, cheer for the trophy award winners and take a chance to win one of our exciting raffle items and watch the children participate in our live butterfly release. Also, Willow Tree Farm will be supplying food and drink for all runners and volunteers.
