First Time Homebuyer Workshop - Chinese 

These workshops are approved by the San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing and the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency and offer a certificate in homebuyer education. Find out how to by a home, how much you can afford, what type of home to buy, how to finance a home and how to keep your home over time.

All prospective homebuyers seeking to obtain a certificate of First Time Homebuyer Education and utilize San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing's down payment assistance programs (DALP) must complete a total of six hours of homebuyer education in conjunction with two hours of 1:1 homebuyer counseling. All education and counseling must be completed within the same HUD certified housing counseling agency.

The primary focus of Asian, Inc. is to educate and tain our clients, who are primarily from low-to-moderate income Asian American communities, in the home purchase and finance arena. Each month, Asian, Inc. hosts bi-lingual homebuyer education workshops to prepare and certify attendees as mortgage ready. Individual counseling services ensure the client fully understands the home purchase process and can make informed decisions that will impact their future. Workshops amd individual counseling are offered in Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese and Hmong.

Effective January 3, 2012, all adult houshold members who will be on the loan and title for all San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing administered homeownership program must attend 6 hours housing workshops and complete first time home buyer counseling requirements.
