St. John's Fall Fellowship Festival at Kanuga (Rain or Shine!)

Parishioners, friends, and neighbors are invited to our Fall Fellowship Festival on Sunday, October 16, from 12:30 to 5:00pm at Kanuga. Celebrate our life together with a fun afternoon in a beautiful place, including...

  • Hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and hot dogs
  • Cash Bar: beer, wine, soda, etc.
  • Yard games and face paint
  • Canoeing and swimming
  • Live music
  • Enjoy walking or hiking around the lake.

The cost is $8/person or $20/family of three or more, with a sign-up deadline of Sunday, October 9. No cost or RSVP necessary if you only plan to attend the Eucharist at 11:00am in the beautiful outdoor St. Francis Chapel.

We will have tables and chairs for lunch, but you may want to bring a camping chair or blanket to sit on, also. Parking is available nearby for those with mobility issues.

Directions To Kanuga from St. John:

Depart the church parking lot onto Rutledge Drive. Proceed 1 mile to the intersection of Erkwood Rd. (Mud Creek Baptist Church is on the corner.)

Turn left onto Erkwood Rd.

Turn left onto Kanuga Rd. (Johnson Family Farmstand is on the corner of Kanuga and Erkwood.)

Proceed approximately 3 miles to Kanuga Lake Road, which is marked with double signage: a brown & white highway sign which says "Kanuga Conferences" and a larger custom sign which reads "Kanuga Conferences and Kanuga Mountain Bike Park."

Turn right onto Kanuga Lake Road and proceed 2 miles (passing the entrance to Camp Kanuga on the right).
Soon bear right onto Kanuga Chapel Road at the large stone & wood sign that reads "WELCOME to KANUGA.”
