St. John's Fall Fellowship Festival at Falling Creek Camp (Rain or Shine!)
Parishioners, friends, and neighbors are invited to our Fall Fellowship Festival on Sunday, October 10, from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Falling Creek Camp. Celebrate our life together with a fun afternoon in a beautiful place, including...
- Low-Country Boil or BBQ
- Beer, wine, soda, etc
- Games for children and a face painter
- Live Music
- Enjoy walking or hiking around the lake.
The cost is $6/person or $12/family with a sign-up deadline of Wednesday, October 6. We will have tables and chairs for dinner, but you may want to bring a camping chair or blanket to sit on, also. Parking is available nearby for those with mobility issues.
Directions To Falling Creek Camp
Please Note the GPS address (not the actual physical address) is 2900 Green River Road, Zirconia, NC 28790.
Take exit 3 off Highway 25 and follow Green River Rd in a westerly direction (away from Roscoe’s Gas station) for 2.5 miles.
Turn left into the Camp entrance. Once you arrive, you will soon cross through a covered bridge and immediately go left, following the log/flame logo directional signage. The road will meander through a flat wooded area and you will pass an old barn on your left. At that point, follow the sign up the long hill of the gravel driveway, past the Falling Creek Falls, to camp. It is about 1.2 miles.
When you reach the Falling Creek Camp sign, Turn left onto Loyalty Road and follow to the large visitor lot behind the Dining Hall. After you park, there will be directional signal leading your walk to the Gym where the event will take place.
For those that require parking close by, please take the 2nd left onto Unselfishness Rd. (about 50 yards after your turn onto Loyalty Rd.) and this turn goes down to the McGrady Gym. There are limited spaces available in this lot.
