M-WERC Member Meeting - September 2016 

The September 2016 M-WERC Member Meeting will highlight M-WERC's research & development program -- our "Technology Innovation" (TI) program. The TI program facilitates the cutting-edge Research & Innovation of technologies in the energy, power, and controls industry.

Based on member feedback, M-WERC's TI program was restructured in 2016. the September Member Meeting will reintroduce the udated program to M-WERC Members and guests. Presentations by M-WERC Member Companies will highlight the enhancements being made, including:

  • Attracting further project investment
  • Moving from Project Management to Program Management (balanced set of coordinated projects)
  • Link Precompetitive and Sponsored Projects
  • Move to a Technology Pipeline model
  • Enhancing our member interaction model

Participation in the event will help you determine how your organization can maximize its benefit from the M-WERC Technology Innovation program.

WORKING GROUP MEETINGS:

Following the Member meeting, there will be three optional working group meetings. Please also register for one of these meetings if you are interested in participating. All Working group meetings will start at 11:30am and include lunch.

  • Distributed Energy/Energy Storage Working Group – The DE/ES Working Group will be meeting as part of its regular meeting schedule to fully debrief the July Microgrids Conference, review the 2016 Action Plan and progress on the group’s initial white paper, and to plan future events and activities.
  • Construction & Engineering Working Group – Following a successful formation meeting in July, the M-WERC Construction & Engineering Working Group will have its first official Working Group meeting and launch on this date. The focus of this meeting will be to explore options for M-WERC member companies to engage on topics related to Construction & Engineering.
  • Energy/Water Nexus Working Group – Formation Meeting. EWN Roadmap leadership team to present highlights from the Roadmap as well as opportunities, market size, and proposed actions. There will also be time for discussion on what issues are most important to the members of this new working group.
