Thursday, February 15, 2018

The EC Networking Group provides an opportunity for those working with children and families from birth to age 6 to share resources and provide support to one another.  The Networking Group has a focus on Indicator 6:  Preschool Environments/Inclusive Practices; Indicator 7:  Child Outcomes; and Indicator 12:  Early Transitions.  Additional topics that may be addressed during the meetings, based on participants' needs, include:

  • developing a range of service options for preschoolers
  • inclusive practices
  • writing functional goals
  • holding collaborative IEP meetings
  • eligibility
  • social emotional development
  • coaching practices
  • intentional teaching methods
  • data reviews, brain development
  • family involvement
  • progress monitoring

Birth to 3, Early Childhood Special Education, 4K & 5K teachers, therapists, program support teachers, and teachers of inclusive child care/Head Start programs would benefit from the EC Networking Opportunity.

Although there is no charge for the networking meetings, participants are asked to register so that appropriate resources are available at the meeting.  Please register for each meeting individually.
