The LEA (Local Educational Agency) Representative plays a vital and necessary role on the IEP team. Each IEP team meeting must include a LEA Representative who is:
·qualified to provide or supervise the provision of special education services, and
·knowledgeable about the general education curriculum, and
·authorized by the district (local education agency) to commit the district resources
This training will provide insight into the critical components of the IEP, a deep understanding of the commitment of resources, and best practices in IEP meeting facilitation, consensus building, and conflict resolution.
Audience: Principals, Associate/Assistant Principals; Deans of Students; Directors of Special Education/Pupil Services, School Psychologists and other Pupil Services Staff
