As part of the Museum's World War I Centennial Lecture Series, on Sunday, Oct. 1, at 4 pm, author Jules Witcover will discuss his book, "Sabotage at Black Tom: Imperial Germany's Secret War in America, 1914-1917." A Hudson County native, Mr. Witcover has written 14 books, including "The American Vice Presidency: From Irrelevance to Power" (2014). His other books include Marathon: The Pursuit of the Presidency 1972-1976; The Year the Dream Died: Revisiting America in 1968; and Party of the People: A History of the Democrats. As a journalist, Mr. Witcover has written for The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and The Baltimore Sun, where his column appeared on the editorial page for 24 years.
