As part of the Museum's World War I Centennial Lecture Series, on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 4 pm, Hoboken Museum Collections Manager Rand Hoppe will present documentary film footage shot in and around Hoboken during World War I, 1917 - 1919. The footage brings to life the experience of being in a port of embarkation during America's first modern war. (Pictured at right, a group of Red Cross volunteers, who helped prepare the soldiers for embarkation, marches through Hudson Park (now Stevens Park).
