About the Conference!

Join the Maine Children's Alliance and the Maine Children's Growth Council to better understand the social emotional learning and development of Maine's young children. Find out what best policies and practices are working in Maine and in other states to improve social and emotional outcomes. Discuss what Maine can do to better support parents, child care providers and children. Lunch will be included.

Following the conference there will be a Social Emotional Development and Learning ad hoc committee meeting  from 1:30 to 4:00 PM to discuss survey findings and create initial drafts of policy recommendations to make to the State Legislature. This afternoon meeting is free of charge and the public is welcome to observe the ad hoc committee policy discussions. If you plan on only attending the ad hoc committee meeting portion of the event which is free and open to the public, please register here.
