OVEC is excited to bring Dan Habib, project director and filmmaker with the Institute on Disability at the University of New Hampshire, to the OVEC region! Mr. Habib will spend the day providing a presentation on including families and students as partners in the IEP process.
There will also be screenings of his films Including Samual and Intelligent Lives. Dan Habib’s current work Intelligent Lives examines our society’s narrow perceptions of Intelligence and provides the introductory conversations to begin building and growing inclusion with the school and the community. This presentation and training will support current work in implementing Peer Support Networks and Peer Support Arrangements. This presentation will also support work in the area of Transition Readiness and transition services for ALL students.
Audience: District and school staff (administrators, counselors, teachers, therapists, paraeducators), parents, students
