Bridging the Reading Gap for Struggling Middle and High School Students

The ultimate goal of reading is comprehension and vocabulary instruction facilitates students’ ability to comprehend the text. Join us as we explore how to explicitly teach a vocabulary routine as well as comprehension strategies to meet students’ needs in a co-teaching and resource setting. We will also create specially designed instruction and supplementary aids and services for comprehension instruction when given a student’s present level and goals with benchmarks.

Audience: Middle and High Special Education Teachers

Cost: No cost for participants of OVEC districts

Cancellation Policy: School districts (or schools) will be billed following the activity based upon registration. Cancellations must be made within ten (10) business days of the activity to avoid being billed the fee. Substitutions will be allowed.
