Are you seeking writing strategies to assist all writers including students with disabilities in your class? Join us as we navigate through the book and learn how each chapter is set up by a writing goal and strategies.We will analyze student writing samples with a scored rubric as well as score grade level writing samples to determine possible goals and strategies to teach the student(s). In addition, we will learn how to use a quick sort as a formative assessment after a strategy is taught.

Session Outcome:

Utilize student writing samples and The Writing Strategies Book to meet students’ writing needs

Audience: Middle and High School Special Education Teachers ONLY

Participants will receive The Writing Strategies Book by Jennifer Serravallo.

Registration Deadline: capacity of 25 participants

Cost: No cost for participants of OVEC districts

Cancellation Policy: School districts (or schools) will be billed following the activity based upon registration. Cancellations must be made within ten (10) business days of the activity to avoid being billed the fee. Substitutions will be allowed.
