Participation Guidelines for Alternate Assessment - February 27, 2018

Presenter:

Amanda Bruce, Low-Incidence Consultant

Purpose of the training:

This session is designed to provide guidance and support to Admissions and Release Committee (ARC) members in the application of the recently revised KY Alternate Assessment Participation Guidelines. Participants will engage in an in-depth look at each of the participation criterion and the relevant data and sources of evidence to support each decision.  Teams will have the opportunity to practice determining participation in Alternate Assessment by synthesizing the student case study data from various scenarios.

The KDE Alternate Assessment and Diploma Advisory Group highly recommends anyone who works with a student with a significant cognitive disability to complete the online training modules.

The modules can be found at this link - All modules are provided through the University of Kentucky Learning Management System located at www.hdi.uky.edu
