At the Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY
Attendance required for Cohort II participants and optional (and enthusiastically encouraged!!) for Cohort I participants.

*The KSSLA State Convening also is a Pre-Conference Session for Kentucky’s Early Childhood Institute (formerly the Ready Kids Conference) in Louisville at the Galt House from June 28 – 30, 2017.  If you want to register for the Early Childhood Institute, click here.  Registration for the Institute is at your own expense.

Need a hotel reservation?

KSSLA will pay for ONE night of lodging on either the night before (June 26) or the night of the State Convening (June 27).  We will book and pre-pay your room.  You must provide a photo id upon check-in.

IF you are attending the Early Childhood Institute and KSSLA does not pay for you to stay at the Galt House on Monday evening, we will book and pay for your hotel room on Tuesday evening, June 27 only.  You must indicate on the registration form if you are attending the Early Childhood Institute.  Upon check in, you will need to provide a credit card for the additional nights of your hotel room at the conference.  Please book your lodging for the remainder of the Institute as you register for the event.

We cannot guarantee availability of a hotel room if you register after June 2, 2017.

 *The hotel may ask you to provide a major credit card and charge you for a deposit for incidental expenses.  This is done at the hotel’s discretion.  Expenses in addition to lodging and tax will not be covered by KSSLA.

Will I be reimbursed for other expenses?

Mileage -  KSSLA will reimburse you for mileage to and from the event.  Reimbursement forms will be in your event packet.

Parking - On-site parking will be available through paid vouchers

Substitutes -  KSSLA will reimburse YOUR EMPLOYER for up to $100 for a substitute while you are away from your work site to attend this event.  A reimbursement request for your employer to submit will be provided upon request.

Meals -  Lunch will be provided at the State Convening.  A per diem meal reimbursement will be available for participants who require an overnight stay.
