Life Transitions and the Healthcare Professional 

How do our own experiences with death shape our views and beliefs? How do these views and beliefs impact the way we live, and die, and the support we provide to patients and families? This highly interactive seminar will guide participants through a process of examining their personal experiences with death.

At the end of this program, participants will have explored the following questions:

- What are the factors that influence how we live, and die?

- What theologies and rules do we carry with us throughout life, and how do we "unpack" and understand these?

- What death and dying experiences make us uncomfortable, and why?

- How does knowing our own personal beliefs and views on life and death impact the way we provide support to patients and families?
