Prayer For Our Country
O Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, at this most critical time, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care. Most Holy Mother, we beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son. Overwhelmed with the burden of the sins of our nation, we cry to you from the depths of our hearts and seek refuge in your motherly protection.
Look down with mercy upon us and touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Free us from the falsehoods that lead to the evil of abortion and threaten the sanctity of family life. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that God's law is the foundation on which this nation was founded, and that He alone is the True Source of our cherished rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. O Merciful Mother, give us the courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a new Culture of Life. Amen

About Our Speaker:
Devon Bissot
"for the Mighty One has done great things for me" -Luke: 1:49
“One of God’s rare jewels” is how Devon’s close friend describes her. Devon, however, does not feel she is worthy of the description and asserts that throughout her life she has “pushed God away a lot” and “self-sabotaged” her gift of faith.
Devon met her husband, Gregg, while studying for a degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Alabama. Married for twelve years, the Bissots have five children between the ages of 11 and 2. Before moving to Cullman in March 2015, Devon and Gregg were active members of St. Peter’s Church in Birmingham, where they coordinated monthly family life ministry activities. Devon also found the time to homeschool her children for four years and serve as a Cursillo set-up team member and table leader.
The Bissot family are now members of Sacred Heart Church and School in Cullman. Their home includes thirty-five chickens, a vegetable garden, fruit trees, and seven acres of land to maintain.
Devon’s Magnificat witness will be centered around her firm belief that “grace wins.” Throughout difficult childhood moves to Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and California as well as her diagnosis of manic-depressive disorder at the age of thirteen, God showered Devon with His blessings and grace. Each time Devon pulls away from the Lord, He welcomes her back and “has done great things” for her. Please come and hear this profoundly understated young woman of faith and wisdom explain how God never deserts her when she flounders spiritually and holds her in the palm of His hand always.

Tickets by mail are $15.00 per person. Your request must be postmarked by
October 13, 2016 to allow adequate time to receive your ticket.
Tickets for priests and religious are complimentary, but reservations are required

If you are unable to afford a ticket but want to attend the meal, please call Donna and arrangements will be made for a ticket to be sent to you.

No tickets are sold at the door.
Doors open at 9:15 a.m. for open seating .
The Rosary will be prayed prior to the meal at 9:00 a.m. in a designated room.
Confessions will be available at the end of the meal.
Religious books, gifts and CD's are available for purchase at the end of the meal.
Since the day is designed to speak to the hearts of women, free of distractions, it is respectfully requested that young children under the age of 14 not be in attendance.
