Substance Abuse Continuing Education

This education activity meets the Delaware Board of Nursing rule for
three required contact hours in the area of substance abuse.

Date: Saturday, December 6, 2014
Time: 7:30am-11:00am 

Where: St. Francis Hospital, DuPont Room 136
Parking: Free parking on Saturdays at the Clayton Street garage (St. Francis). 

Purpose: To comply with the 2014 Delaware rules requiring registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to earn contact hours in the area of substance abuse for license renewal.

Objectives:

• Explore substance abuse trends in Delaware
• Identify the signs and symptoms of possible substance abuse
• Discuss treatment and resources for substance abuse

Contact hours offered: 3.25

Who Should Participate: Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses

Cost:
DNA Members: $35
Non-Member: $50

Brown Bag: To hold down the registration fee, this is a brown bag event; no food will be provided. Coffee and water will be provided.

Successful completion of the activity: All participants are required to complete an online evaluation form as part of the education activity. An email will be sent to all registrants on Monday, December 8, 2014. The required online evaluation must be completed by December 15, 2014.
