Did you know that individuals that were not eligible for income subsidy through SSI as children may be eligible when they become an adult at age 18? At age 18 individuals become eligible for SSI based on their own income and not on the income of their family even when they continue to live at home. SSI also offers many incentives for adults to increase their ability to work and still be eligible for SSI to provide monetary income to assist meeting their basic needs as they continue to increase their job-related skills and or education.

To learn more, join us for this Workshop, Overview of SSi / SSDI, presented by Sabrina Feliciano, the Public Affairs Specialist for the Social Security Administration for our region. In addition to a general overview, this presentation will also cover: How to apply for SSI / SSDI, how turning 18 affects SSI / SSDI benefits, working while being on disability, and Q & A.
