Learning Exchange: Simulation Labs for Child Welfare Education and Training

When: Thursday February 19, 2015, from 3:30-4:30 pm ET

What: This Learning Exchange session is follow-up to the second session in our national webinar series designed to “mind the gap” and address workforce challenges impacting child welfare organizations across the country. On February 19th we will continue the conversation about Simulation Labs for Child Welfare Education and Training. If you missed the February 4th webinar, you can access the webinar recording on our website.

Why:  The child welfare workforce is a critical factor in strengthening vulnerable children, youth and families. We know there are gaps and challenges we must address to better develop and support the workforce in their challenging yet rewarding roles. This follow-up Learning Exchange will offer deeper interaction between presenters and participants through a facilitated discussion designed to enchange critical thinking about this training and education innovation. We will talk about ways to more strategically intervene...and close the gap by better preparing social work students and new staff for the real world situations they will encounter in the child welfare field.

How: This follow-up learning exchange is offered free of charge via our WebEx platform. These opportunities are open to all, so please share the information with your colleagues and networks. Certificates of attendance will be issued to all attendees via email following conclusion of the session.
