Training for US Firefighters - Preparedness and Response to Emergencies and Disasters in Israel - January 14th- 21st,  2018

January 13th (Saturday) - Firefighters depart US for Israel   

January 14th (Sunday) - Firefighters arrive in Israel

January 15th (Monday) - Full 24 hour shift on duty

January 16th (Tuesday) - Urban Search and Rescue training

January 17th (Wednesday) - Full 24 hour shift on duty

January 18th (Thursday) - MCI drill 

January 19th (Friday) - Open Day

January 20th (Saturday) - Full 24 hour shift on duty

January 21th (Sunday) - Firefighters end tour of duty and begin departing for US

 

PLEASE READ ALL THE NOTES CAREFULLY
  1. Please book your travel to arrive in Israel so that you arrive close to 1:00pm.
  2. Firefighters will be picked up at Ben Gurion airport at 3:00pm.
  3. If you plan on being in Israel at an erlier date you must make your own arrangments for transportation to the gathering point at the fire station (address will be provided later).
  4. All firefighters will be briefed and allocated accomodation.
  5. Afte arriving at the stations and getting organized, firefighters will have the option to begin their tour of duty or rest from the flight.
  6. Firefighters will take part in ALL fire activities as an Israeli firefighter. This includes responding to calls, station duties, training, meals, etc.
  7. The exercise, which  will take place at the Rabin Medical Center in Petah Tikva, Israel, will simulate a terror attack on a densely populated urban facility. The aim is to train participants management and response procedures and protocols for an event involving mass civilian casualties. Participating in the exercise will be firefighters from Israel, EVP and first responders from other countries, civilian first responders and IDF Home Front Command search and rescue teams. 
  8. For logistical purposes, all tickets must be booked to leave Israel on Sunday 21th. 
  9. If a firefighter wishes to leave at any other time/date, he/she MUST make these arrangements beforehand or while in country. EVP will not be responsible for the change or for his transportation to the airport.
  10. The EVP reserves the right to alter, change, or cancel any of these programs at any times. In the event of a cancellation by the EVP, your deposit will be returned. The trip fee must be paid in full 45 days before the training. After this date, EVP is entitled to cancell the voluntee's registration with no refunds.

TO ALL NEW CANDIDATES: If you are interested in an awesome opportunity to Train or Work in Israel you must first fill out the Qualifier/Application located on our home page. Once you have completed  the application, a US Regional Director will contact you about your qualifications.

Only after validation as an EVP volunteer can you sign up for a training/deployment trip to Israel to work with Israel Fire & Rescue.
