2021 Summer Camp Registration 

This is our first attempt at online summer camp registration, so consider yourselves pioneers! If all goes well, we may do this in future years. You will still need to bring a check for registration (within 48 hours of registration). You may add it to your March tuition, but please notate that in the memo line.

A few notes this year:

• You must bring your registration check to the office within 48 hours of registration.  
• Make sure you sign up for the correct class!  We'll have a "situation" if not!
• All spots fill on a first come, first served basis.  For families who have not participated in summer camp sign up, they usually fill quickly, so don't wait too long.
• Because of how the registration is set up, you will need a separate registration and email for each registration, so if you have more than one child, you may want two or three people each registering a child at the same time.  Whatever works for you!
• Sadly, we do not have a half-day summer camp option for the former Honeybee age, the children who were under 2 as of September 1, 2020 in the Puffin class.  We do not have enough children in that age group to justify hiring two new staff members and opening the room back up for summer camp.  If you are much in need and would like to consider options in the full-time toddler class, please call the office, and we will do our very best to come up with a solution that will work for everyone!
• The older Puffins and the Pandas will combine, as they always have, however the options are different this year.  In the past we have done 3- to 4-week camps, with the 2-, 3-, or 4-day options to match the school year.  With the extended Austin ISD school year ( thus shorter summer), and no certainty that the calendar will not change again, we opted to give all of the children the same options that the Pre-K children have had for the last few years.  There is weekly sign-up, but the only option is 4-days.  (We offered 2-, 3-, and 4-day options, weekly ONE YEAR, and Terry and I, along with a few teachers, almost had a nervous breakdown trying to keep up with how many and which children were coming every day!)  I suspect families with children in multiple age-groups will like this better, but either way, let me know what you think, so that the information can inform us when planning for next year.
• The Half-Day Pre-K and All Kinder children will be in one group.
• All 1st-4th will be in in one group.
• Please be aware that we are planning for the full-time Kindergarteners to join the 1st-4th group after 3:00 each day, just like in the past.
• By registering, you are committing to attend (or pay for what you register for, per the cancellation dates below).  We did not require any family to honor that commitment last year, as it was an unprecedented situation, however this year I feel (hope, pray) that nothing new will arise and we can work with our current understanding of the risks of COVID and how Abiding Love handles precautions and possible exposures.
  • Cancellation deadline in order to not pay for session: 2 months before the first day of the session (i.e. April 8th for Week 1).
  • Cancellation deadline in order to only pay for 50% of session: 1 month before the first day of the session (i.e. May 8th for Week 1).
• We also want to let everyone know that we only have cancellation "penalties" because a few years ago we had long waiting lists for every week, and then people who would no show or cancel the Friday before, which wasn't helpful to waiting families who had already signed up for other camps, even though we were the first choice.  We aren't being ogres, we're just trying to help everyone get what they really want and make sure that we do not lose money on summer camp.
