LTSS Training for CCS at Harford Community College -Central Region - June 7 & 8, 2018

DDA CCS LONG TERM SERVICES AND SUPPORTS (LTSS) INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TRAINING

The Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is transforming its service delivery system to create a flexible, person centered, family oriented system of supports providing increased opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to live full lives as active citizens in the communities of their choice.

As part of the DDA’s commitment to doing business efficiently, effectively, and professionally, the DDA’s transformation involves the reshaping of waiver programs, policies, processes and information technology systems to best serve Marylanders with developmental disabilities. Over the last several years, the DDA has been working with an external system vendor to develop a DDA-specific system in the statewide Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Information Technology (IT) platform. For the DDA, the system will provide functionality to support case management, waiver enrollment, person centered planning, service authorization, and eventually service billing. The LTSS system will replace PCIS2 for the majority of CCS functions.

Functionality for the DDA in LTSS will be released incrementally as it is developed. The first release of DDA functionality is scheduled for August 1, 2018 and includes significant functionality for coordination of community services and case management. Future releases are expected through the end of calendar year 2019.

In advance of the August 1st go-live date, all coordinators must attend a 2-day LTSS training session which will be held across the state. This hands-on computer training will be conducted by FEi systems, the Maryland statewide LTSS developer, and DDA program staff. Participants are required to attend both days of the session that they are signed up for. Some important information is provided below:
