Manasota BUDS/Pathfinder
Family Challenge & Fun Day 

Manasota BUDS has once again partnered with Pathfinder Outdoor Education to present a family adventure day!  Our shared goal is to provide: family recreation; confidence boosting activities; family bonding; and to reinforce the feeling that a family can do something together regardless of an individual member's abilities.

Families will have the option of rotating through any or all of the following tracks throughout the day:

Nature and Canoeing --
Estuary Explorer (no age limit)
Canoeing in the Cove (must be 3 yrs. old)

Zip Line --
Ongoing throughout the day (must be 4 yrs. old)

Tree Climbing --
Ongoing throughout the day (must be 6 yrs. old)

Each track runs independently.  The Nature and Canoeing track activities will have start and end times.  The zip line and tree climbing activities are ongoing throughout the day.

In addition, the whole group will have dinner together and participate in an evening program:
Hootenanny (inside, no age limit)
Night Hike (outside, no age limit)
Campfire with s'mores (no age limit)

This event is limited to 35 people.

Manasota BUDS is paying a per participant fee to Pathfinder and to the conference center for facility use.  Therefore, we are requiring financial participation to ensure our basic costs are met even if your family has to cancel. 

Registration $20 per participant regardless of age; individuals with Down syndrome free.  Your parking, meal, all activities, square dance lesson and s'mores are included in the registration fee!

This event will be held rain or shine and will only be cancelled and rescheduled under severe weather conditions as determined and agreed upon by Pathfinder, Dayspring, and Manasota BUDS.
