DREAMING LAB FOR INNOVATIVE MINISTRY AND GRANTS WRITING

A free workshop offered by the Grants Outreach Program
of the United Methodist Foundation of Louisiana

Utilizing Kenda Creasy Dean’s Innovating for Love: Joining God’s Expedition Through Christian Social Innovation, the Foundation’s Grants Outreach Program offers several half-day workshops to explore the theology behind and current necessity for ministry innovation. We will also provide ample examples of such ministries, facilitate idea-producing group exercises and educate participants about the resources available within our Foundation, our Conference and our regions that can aid actualization.

Workshop facilitator Britney Winn Lee is the Foundation Grants Outreach Program Coordinator and a lifelong United Methodist. Since graduating from Centenary College, she has spent years working in faith-based nonprofits and UM churches. She earned a master’s degree in nonprofit administration and is currently on the deacon tract at Garrett Evangelical Theology Seminary.

Workshop Objectives

  • To deepen hope, stir creativity and empower lay leaders and clergy to turn ideas from hunches into plans together

  • To stoke excitement and energy for God’s continued dream for the world through the United Methodist churches of Louisiana

  • To educate participants about our connection’s available funding and support

Registration

There is no workshop fee; however, registration is required.
